Final stops on my northwest book tour

After Bend, OR the visiting with relatives was over, and for the remainder of the trip my husband and I focused on getting home and conducting signings. Our first stop on the return journey was at Twin Falls, ID. In the first photo, you'll see the store staff placed me in front of the "Bestselling authors" sign. I'd like to think of that as an omen!

The second photo was taken at the Layton, UT signing, with a Goodreads friend and her son. The third photo came from the Murray, UT signing where Facebook friend Leanne Davis and I had a nice chat. An obvious pro at visiting authors, Leanne would step aside when other interested people approached my table, then resume our conversation after they left. I really appreciated that--and getting to know her better.

The fourth photo is from the Grand Junction, CO signing. Note that I only have two bookmarks left. I should have packed more! The final photo is of the Basket Case wine that my husband's cousins gave us and with which we toasted our last night on the trip. What a fitting end. Thanks, Frank and Rebecca!

It sounds like the trip went well, but I bet you're glad to be home.

You certainly did a lot on your trip - and you can write it all off on your taxes, too!

When you were in Bend, did you happen to notice if Peterson's Rock Garden was still open? (It's between Bend & Redmond.) I used to love that place as a kid!

Sorry, Diane, we didn't even look for Peterson's Rock Garden.

Yes, Peterson's Rock Garden is still rocking! Showing its age a bit, but still a source of amazement.

What a trip. I love that last photo. I'm busy telling friends how much I love your books too.
