Not all hikes are for viewing wildflowers ...
... as shown in this photo of a Summit County Senior Center "Walkie Talkies" hike to the Mountain Pride mine site near Breckenridge, CO, which includes seven buildings other than the mine itself (behind the group), a couple of graves, and a tin can midden.

I would love doing this as long as I didn't have to go inside the mines. Can't do caves but love the history
It's dangerous to go inside the abandoned mines, so we never do that anyway. On this hike, the leader had done some research on the mine and surrounding buildings and shared that with us. An interesting hike indeed!
